The school‘s educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery learning. We believe in success for all students. We seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe a child learns more if he/she enjoys the learning experience.
THE PRIMARY PURPOSE of the school is to meet the needs of expatriate children in Shekou who seek international education with a view to continuing their education in their home countries or other expatriate locations with a minimum of adjustment problems. In addition to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students with instruction in Chinese language and culture.
THE CURRICULUM includes English, Mathematics, Cultural Studies, Science, Art, Music, and Physical Education. Intensive English classes are offered to students who need additional help with English. Technology use is integrated across the curriculum. A well developed after school activities program exists, as well as large interscholastic sports, cultural and community service programs.
